A GRRR Live! a zenekar fennállásának 50. évfordulóját ünneplő turnén készült 2012-ben, annak New York-i állomásain: a film alapjául szolgáló négy koncerten olyan vendégelőadókkal osztották meg Mick Jagger és zenésztársai a színpadot, mint a The Black Keys (Who Do You Love?), Gary Clark Jr. & John Mayer (Going Down), Lady Gaga (Gimme Shelter), Bruce Springsteen (Tumbling Dice) és Mick Taylor (Midnight Rambler).
A koncertet egyébként anno élőben sugározták, azóta viszont a rajongóknak most van először lehetőségük arra, hogy otthonukban is átélhessék a világ legjobb koncertzenekarának tartott The Rolling Stones fellépését.
Az akkor készült felvételeket újravágták, a hangsávokat újrakeverték, így teljesen új köntösben hallgathatunk és nézhetünk olyan klasszikusokat, mint az It’s Only Rock ’n’ Roll (But I Like It), a Honky Tonk Women, a Start Me Up, a Gimme Shelter, a Sympathy For The Devil, vagy az (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.
A GRRR Live! a mai naptól elérhető digitális formátumban a streaming felületeken, illetve 3 LP-s, 2 CD-s, DVD + 2 CD-s, Blu-ray + 2 CD-s változatban a boltokban. A Blu-ray és a digitális verziók Dolby Atmos-ban hallgathatók; emellett pedig a DVD-re és a Blu-ray-lemezre három bónusz dal is felkerült: a John Mayerrel közösen előadott Respectable, az Around And Around és a Gimme Shelter.
